A native of the upstate, Chris also graduated from Clemson with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture. He relocated to Myrtle Beach after completing his degree, but after nine years on the coast, Chris felt it was time to move back to the upstate to be around family and the mountains.
From Myrtle Beach to Georgetown, the company's projects are testaments to their dedication and sensitivity to the coastal area and its residents. In Pawleys Island, the Hammock Shops Village is a recent renovation project that captures the essence of the Pawleys Island lifestyle, preserving the history of the area with updated grounds and infrastructure that will provide sustainability for years to come. The carefully chosen historical plant palette adds life and beauty to this project, calling visitors to sit, relax and enjoy.
The renewal and enhancement of Litchfield by the Sea encompasses a wide array of Jean and Chad's creative talents, providing beauty and lifestyle enhancements, including a fishing pier, a crabbing dock and a boardwalk, as well as reconfigured roads and common areas. Chad's expertise in planning and augmenting landscape design in resort areas is highly sought after by developers and builders of new and existing structures. The magnificent North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is a shining example of Chad's expertise. Waccamaw Landscaping installed 80% of all the resort's plant material, designed streetscapes and irrigation systems. This same care and attention to detail can be seen in the company's work in the planning and landscape design of Cresswind Myrtle Beach, a residential development in the Market Common district.
